2006 RV Trip Diaries - Palm Springs, CA

                                                                                                                                                                               

November 12 - Sunday

We've been in Palm Springs for six days and haven't updated the diary during that time.  There are a few fix-it projects in the trailer that need to be done and we've been shopping for parts, working with a repair shop and mostly enjoying the beautiful sunny weather here.

The first day we parked in a location that got too much sun.  We stayed there for two days then got the park office to let us move to a spot with lots of shade.  Our patio is on the shady side of the trailer so we spend lots of time outdoors here.  We like it so much now that we've decided to keep this spot until the end of December.

On November 20 we will fly to Juneau for a week then return to Palm springs till January.

Jerry and Garrey have started playing shuffleboard and Kay and Karen have agreed to join them some time when they're not out shopping in the myriad stores all around us.

November 20 - Monday

We've been having fun using the pool and hot tub, browsing through the many stores and shopping malls and trying out some restaurants.  Weather has been beautiful.  We got some appliances done in the trailer and have mostly just enjoyed the laid-back life.

Today we leave for a week in Juneau.  Should be an adventure as there's about 3 feet of snow on the ground there now.  This morning, Karen and Kay practiced their shuffleboard shots.
